“Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.” Mark 1:35
“Pray continually.” 1 Thessalonians 5:17
“Without me you can do nothing.” John 15:5
The prayer ministries at Emmaus are really our lifeline.
Please consider how you might take part.
A Time of Prayer
Every Sunday morning from 10:00 to 10:50, prayer is available
for you. Please come to the new Prayer Room on the main floor
(near the coat room). Whether you
need specific prayer or simply want to pray, this is a blessed
time of quietly sitting in the presence of God with others.
If you would like more information, contact Tom &
Jan Dunlap or Lydia Tilstra through the church office (645-9480).
Prayer Connection
We email prayer requests from our congregation and community
to those who have requested to be part of this prayer ministry.
What a comfort to know that people stand ready to pray for the
hurts and needs (and joys!) in your life. Please e-mail your brief request to prayer@emmauschurch.org. Call the church office at 645-9480 if you would like to add your name to the roster of prayer-givers.
Confidential Prayer Box
Please fill out a confidential prayer request form and drop
it in the wooden box located in the church lobby. We have a
small group of prayer intercessors who confidentially pray over
these needs. For more information about this, please call the church office at 645-9480.
Prayer for Healing
One of our most blessed times at Emmaus is gathering periodically
to pray for those who need healing. These usually take place
on Sunday afternoons. Whether emotional, spiritual, physical,
or relational, we delight in lifting these needs before our
heavenly Father.
“My soul finds rest in God alone; he is my fortress; trust in the Lord at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.” Psalm 62:1,2,8
“Pray for one another, that you may be healed.” James 5:16
