"Young Children and Worship" is a way for children ages 3-7 to experience God in a worship setting that follows the fourfold order of adult worship: Gathering, Listening, Thanking, Going out. This approach is much different than a traditional classroom setting where we typically tell chldren about God. In worship, we experience the mystery of God together through story telling and asking the question: "I wonder..." It is truly worship where God is central!
Children's Church happens every Sunday morning during the 9:00 a.m. worship service (September-May). We meet in Room 215 (the new children's space on the main level). Children participate in
worship with their parents in the sanctuary. They are dismissed to go to Children's Church prior to the
sermon and returned to the sanctuary before the benediction. (Parents new to Emmaus are welcome to join
their children until they feel comfortable.)
Parents are invited to visit the children's worship center during Children's Church to experience our time of worship in community!
