WonderKids is the name of our new afterschool program. With the Wednesday one-hour early release at the elementary schools this year, we are excited to offer programming right when children are released from school. WonderKids will begin at the early release time (Sibley releases at 2:10, Greenvale at 2:15 and Bridgewater at 2:45) and will run until 5 p.m.

WonderKids programming will consist of an afterschool snack, recreation, music/choir, arts and crafts and a GodlyPlay Bible story time.

There will also be a preschool WonderKids that will run from 4-5 p.m. on Wednesdays. Children who are 3 years of age by September 1st are welcome to participate in this program.

To help defray the cost of supplies and bussing for WOW, for those families who are able, a suggested donation of $30 for the year would be welcomed. Feel free to divide the donation in $15 increments (fall/spring). WOW will never turn away anyone because of an inability to make the suggested donation.

Bus Transportation

Emmaus, along with other area churches, provides a bus to pick up children who are interested in participaing in our afterschool programs. Benjamin Bus Company picks up children from Sibley, Greenvale, and Bridgewater schools and brings them to Emmaus. Due to liability, maintenance and driver costs, we have decided to share a bus with St. John's Lutheran Church instead of using the church's bus. If you would like your child to ride the bus, please indicate this when you register for WonderKids on Wednesdays. If your child signs up to ride and cannot be there for a particular Wednesday, please call the church office (645-9480) prior to the school's release time.
