The heart of the Constitution of Emmaus Baptist Church includes our Philosophy of Ministry, our Church Covenant, and our Statement of Faith.
The Philosophy of Ministry is a statement of our corporate belief that, as Christians our primary goal is to bring glory to God. The three primary movements in a well-balanced Christian life are defined as first, our movement to God; second, our movement to other believers; and finally, our movement toward the world through outreach (Luke 10:27-37).
The Church Covenant is a statement of our commitment “...to strive together for both the peace and purity
of this church; to sustain its worship and steadfastly to cherish and hold its ordinances, discipline and
doctrines; to contribute as faithful stewards such time, talent and money in the measures that God prospers
each of us, that the responsibility for the work of the local church and worldwide ministry of spreading the
Gospel be faithfully and effectively discharged.”
The Statement of Faith defines what we believe in the following areas: the Word of God, the Trinity, God
the Father, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, Regeneration, the Church, Christian Conduct, the Ordinances,
Religious Liberty, Church Cooperation and the Last Things.
